Looking forward to the Fall for men…
We anticipate at least a couple of Bible study options for men at different times during the week. This past year we had “Basic Training” on Saturday mornings and Wednesday Lunch Bible Study.

GR WOMEN

Looking forward to the Fall for women…
In September, we look forward to resuming women’s Bible studies. Meeting twice a month, one group will meet Tuesday mornings and another group will meet Friday evenings. We will be following Jean Gaffin’s book, “Who He Says I Am,” as a guide. Childcare will be available during the Tuesday morning study.

GR YOUTH

Youth Sunday school class current topic: Follow the Leader
Summer: August special classes with Elder Michael Steinberg

GR Kids

The kids Sunday school class includes crafts, songs, and Bible stories as an enjoyable setting for training our children through a children’s catechism. Children are welcome to join at any point during the year.

Looking forward to the Fall for kids…
Except for the Sunday school class, summer is a break time for our kids ministry. Maybe in the Fall we will revive a monthly version of “Scripture & Sweets” where Pastor Tyson leads the kids through a Bible story while all enjoy a sweet snack.

GR Elders

If you are looking to connect with our pastor or ruling elders, please call or email any time (info below). We do not have a physical office at this time but you can find or schedule a conversation with Pastor Tyson at one of the local coffee shops or park picnic areas. Our elders usually meet the first Tuesday of every month.

About Us

As a church family, we are growing together as faithful & fruitful followers of Jesus Christ.

In 2009, Grace Redeemer Church (GRC) began as a church plant of the the Gulf Coast Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). As a congregation in a community that has many generational locals and many military transplants, we praise God that He has continued to provide for the maturity of our church family in the intervening years. In 2017, our church family elected and called Tyson Turner, with his wife, Jen, and their children to come and follow our founding pastor, David Young. Pastor Tyson leads alongside our ruling elders, Tom Green and Michael Steinberg.

Pastor Tyson and Jen Turner

We are evangelical and reformed in doctrine. Our beliefs are more fully expressed in the Westminster Confession of Faith (full text here), and briefly summarized in The Apostles’ Creed.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell. The third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins;the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

The news cycle is fixated on a virus instead of on the nearing election. Thousands have died of at least in part from contracting …
